# Qualcomm Linux 2.0 migration overview

This guide provides a high-level overview of migration from Qualcomm<sup>®</sup> Linux<sup>®</sup> 1.0 to Qualcomm Linux 2.0. It outlines the major areas that the migration impacts, which include the following:

* Changes to the build system
* Qualcomm-authored OpenEmbedded layers
* Kernel and image recipes
* Machine configurations
* BitBake override usage
* Qualcomm Linux technology features

Additionally, it describes over-the-air (OTA) upgrade considerations and highlights key platform and feature-level changes that you must consider when upgrading to Qualcomm Linux 2.0.

**Note**

Qualcomm Linux 2.0 supports the long-term support (LTS) kernel v6.18 release.
